Senior Moves Rule!

My ankle is feeling better, not really good yet, but not intensely painful anymore. It's kind of creaky now when I point or flex my foot. Since I wasn't completely hobbled, I had my lesson this morning. I took it really easy, especially on the left (injured) ankle. I probably could have used another day of rest, but I'm just not good at staying home and resting...

Coach K walked me through senior moves, minus the left foot sides of the spiral pattern and the double threes into quick twisting rockers. I wasn't able to really push through any of the moves, but I could at least grasp the basic patterns.

The sustained edge step is going to be super fun. And hard, but fun. I love edges and extension!

The spirals are tricky because you have to hit the positions right away, but this one shouldn't be too had for me.

The double 3 turns into quick twisting rockers will need some work. I only tried the right foot today, and I only made it half way across the ice instead of all the way. Much work is needed on these, especially on pattern that starts with the BI double threes!

The quickstep is going to be so fun once I remember where I'm going. I made it through the steps on each side, but my pattern was way off, and I had no rhythm. It'll be a lot of work, but I like it.

Overall, I like these moves much better than junior. It'll be a lot of work to get the power, speed, extension, quickness, and edge quality that's expected on a senior test, but I'm ready to get started!
