Awful Program Run Throughs

I ran through my program 3 times on Sunday. The first time, I botched the camel and camel/sit. The second time, I botched the lutz-loop combo (didn't even do the loop), and then couldn't figure out how to start my footwork since I didn't do the loop which resulted in me standing in the corner looking like a fool for about 5 seconds before deciding to skip the footwork and just do the next spin. Luckily, the third run through was one of the best I've done. I was a little shakey on one part of the spiral sequence, but everything else was really clean. Whew!

I like having these disasters before the test. I feel like I'm getting the bad stuff out of the way. I think that if I didn't blow up before a test, I'd be even more nervous like I was due for a bad skate. Now, I've had a few days to work out the kinks, and program run throughs went well today.

Yes, I'm still a 1/2 second behind the music. My very pretty glide into the ending pose may have to be cut and I'll just push out of the backspin and do a BO pivot into the ending pose. It's not as pretty, but it's functional for the test.

Tonight will be the hardest part of the test; deciding what to wear...

Good luck tomorrow! (not that you need luck to pass... you HAVE those skills!)
