Almost a Program

Well, this week coach remembered to bring my program music. Problem is he hasn't had it cut down to 1:30 for my prelim. freeskate yet. Luckily we're using just one section of music, so we can work on it without cutting it. (I should get a copy of the cut music next week.)

Today we added:

Salchow out of footwork sequence with cute arms and attitude position on landing.
Xovers and forward power 3turn into loop.
Xbehind after loop landing and hit another cute pose.
More footwork including a choctaw and triple 3turn all with arm movements.
Back xovers into a back bracket (at full speed - GASP!)
Mohawk into a charlotte on a BI edge ending with a BI 3turn into a sit spin.

My phrases of the day, "How the hell did you get way over there!" and "What just happened?" My coach likes to demonstrate, then skate the section with me. I am a rather slow learner, and usually can't keep up. This results in me standing in the middle of the ice with an utterly confused expression and uttering one of my phrases of the day.

My choreography ineptitude aside, it was a really good lesson. Coach and I had a lot of fun!

During practice after lesson, I did my mandatory run through of intermediate MITF. They're coming along. It looks like I won't be testing Nov. 7th, but still no official word. Maybe now that the pressure is off, the moves don't seem so hard. I did take a nasty fall that'll leave a bruise on my right knee though. I was doing a FO 3turn in the corner to start a MITF pattern, fell, and slid right into the boards. I also did my zamboni impression again on jumps. Loving the fact that I have a back camel now! I think my layback will be my next project. I can do laybacks, but I want a really nice one that I can hold for more than 4 revs.
